Yaris T Sport Tapping Noise When Accelerating

Hi I have a yaris t sport 2001

Its started making a sound randomly. It gets louder the warmer the car is. Its light a tapping sound when accelerating more at low revs it doesn't do it as much in neutral. The cv joint is messed but I dont know whether it could be that as it is too loud. I've been told it could be the thrust bearing or the diff in the Gbox. I topped up the gearbox to see if the sound went quieter yesterday it was low it took 0.5L as the driveshaft seal is leaking any ideas or has anyone had a similar issue ?
