Nobody can help with the limited information you have given so far. You need to state what engine is in the car. Since the EML (check engine light) is showing, you need the codes read via OBD2 scanner. The diagnostic codes may state the possible cause. Seek assistance from a mechanic in your location, then tell us what he has found.

From the initial post the EML isn't showing.

How long have you had the car?

Oops! Sorry i missed the 'not show' bit. Anyway the OP still needs local help.
I remember years ago, I helped my friend who had a similar fault of the engine not running, and the EML not illuminating. I told him to check the EFI fuse, which turned out to be blown. He replaced the fuse, the EML illuminated on key turn to ignition and the car started.
Check the EML fuse. I am not sure of the location, but it could be under the dashboard or in the engine bay. Check owners manual if you have one.
