Is there any reason why you cant run a ct9 turbo on a 5E stock engine with out any other engine upgrades, if only running it at about 6psi?, how much torque can the stock 'seo clutch take?,

Also has anyone put forged pistons in their 5E? if so, where'd you get 'em done and how much did they set you back?

Without any other upgrades. Does this include map sensors and ECU.

I don't think the standard ECU understands the concept of positive manifold pressure so wouldn't know how to adjust the fueling.

wepr sell everything you need to swap your 5e to turbo spec for £450 plus shiping.

the kit is taken from an existing 4efte.

it inlcude a turbo/manifold/cat pipe/tmic/piping/stock bov/injectors/fuel rail/oil lines/thermostat housing and other tid bits needed for installation like nuts..bolts etc etc..

to be safe you would need some aditional things like a fmic and a boost controler for what you have in mind.

if you do go this route you would need to invest in a few rolling road sessions to make sure that the car is running to the optimum settings..

the seo gearbox should be able to take anything you throw at it.

it would be wise to uprate the clutch if you were thinking about this conversion.

Hi,I had a 5E-FE Tercel with distribuitor.with an IHI VF 8 turbo and a wrx intercooler as a FMIC.I´m using a FPR 3:1 with stock injectors and stock fuel pump.Also a check valve to avoid the map sensor error when boost is present in the intake manifold,this let the air release so the map not read boost.At 6 psi the car rans very well,I can almost push the pedal hard but not all the way because if I do this ,then the air/fuel goes red.The check valve was very important in the setup.Regards and good luck.

that kit seems to have a lot for only 450,

also if i change to a 5E-fhe block will i be able to take it upto 7000 revs??

what 6 speed gearbox will fit on a 5e-fe and be able to handle the turbo?

Hi,my Tercel Turbocharged 5e-fe 1995 with distribuitor cuts injection at 6800-6900 rpm.In first gear cuts injection at 48-50 km/hr,in second gear at 95 km/hr,in third gear at 145 km/hr and in fourth gear I´ve never cut injection till the moment.It passes all the way down on the velocimeter and gets stuck at least 3 seconds when I released the gas pedal,so I think that at least the car goes in that moment at 200-210 km/hr.Cheers. :yes:

where can you get one of these c160 gearbox's, are they made by DSK?, and are they really 200-400?,

these gearboxes came standard on both the corrola ea111 bug eyed sr and the jdm corrola levin bzr...

finding them is rarer than rocking horse sh*t*

.

and expect to pay a premium for it once you do.
