Advice re Mk1 facelift rear bumper / light cluster.

Hi
This may be a stupid question, but here goes.
Sisters recently bought a Mk1 Auris 2008 D4D with low mileage, which seemed like a good buy as cheap runabout, however the bumper didnt look right to me. Bit research later its got the MK1 facelift bumper on it, leaving a gap by the rear wheel arch / bumper. It also has the original light clusters.

I dont profess to be a mechanic, so had the car checked out for
accident damage/botched repair, but its all ok. The light clusters work so not really an issue there. Im more concerned about to the bumper tearing itself off at speed due to this gap.

Does anyone know if you can replace the rear bumper wheel arch guards with the correct ones to sort the problem or are these simply incompatible between models?. The other option ive suggested is change the bumper back. Any advice welcome.

Who knows how long it was driven in such a manner. If those are not solid, they move quite a lot at higher speeds due to wind. This one looks solid to me.

If you want, you can put something between the guard and bumper, just to create a bit of tension between the two.

I personally would not replace things if they are not broken.
