Where is the above extract from?

As stated previously, the recommended oil for a 1.6 VVti is 5W-30.

Btw, your first post says the car is 2008, yet your profile shows 2007 - which is it?

That's from the Toyota Auris/Corola service manual. Find attached the entire file.

The car is 2008 - ZRE151.

I am trying to understand if I can use that oil for my car or not.

Thank you.

The ZRE-151 isn't mentioned in the extract you've attached - it is a different variant. So 5W-30 stands as the recommended oil.

I've been going through the invoices of my recently bought Auris 1.6 Petrol 2013, I notice the last owner has been using a indi garage for service.

From 03/2017, he has been using 5w30 C3, is this correct? I thought petrol was A5 and the C3 was for diesel?

The first 3 service was a toyota dealer, I dont know the details of the service. I tried MyToyota but that needs a log book, I am still waiting for, I'll try calling the dealer and see if I can get some detail.

Your thoughts please.

c oils scrifice protection for emissions and have a shorter change interval.
