Wiper Blades - debate

Hi all,

A couple of years ago, I used to buy refills from Mr T (dealer) but now they have told me the actual blades and rubber as a kit for nearside and offside front is cheaper than buying the rubber - strange!

Presumably the dealer was talking about Toyota's Optifit range, which are a cheaper alternative to standard Toyota,parts. Toyota Optifit Wiper Blades are made by Trico.

I think they look like the ones that Asda sell for £4 each.

Standard Bosch blades can be found for £12-15 (SP21 and SP18)

Aero twins are £16-20 (AR21U and AR18U)

i have put aero twins on most of my cars over the years and get 2-4 years out of a set

you can get el-cheepo blades for £7-8 the pair but i wouldn't trust them in a downpour

Hi all,

I ordered the real McCoy in the end. I think it was £24 for original front wipers. Didn’t want to take the risk.
