If you start worrying about all the sounds the engine makes, you will always think there's something wrong.

If it's not broken, don't fix it.

Sorry, my 16 year old Corolla didnt have all these bells whistles 🤣.

Seriously though, where is that sound coming from, I am just looking for confirmation whether its normal or not.

Cheers.

My guess would be the throttle body, it's electronic.

Try turning the ignition on, without starting the car, see if it does the same.

Roks, the ZR Valvematic engine is totally different to previous Toyota engines, although they look similar. I am reading some of your older posts, and you do have an ear for any unusual noises. And that is good because you have found the issues and sorted them.
Anyway, do some checks on the clips securing the inlet pipe between the air filter and the throttle body. This includes the breather pipe. On idle, you may hear the vacuum pump ticking. Check the pipes connected to the pump. The way these Valvematic operate, the throttle opens fully when running, and the valves timing, duration and how much they open, control the amount fuel air mixture and exhaust let in and out. Because of this, there is not enough vacuum for the brake servo. The throttle is fly by wire as you may have noticed, so you may need an assistant to blip the throttle so you can hear any changes in the engine. As I said in previous posts, we share the same engine so will know any engine related problems and experiences, which have been good for me. One thing you don't need to worry about is the EPB. You have a handbrake, I have a button link to an estimated £1500 cost to repair!
Anyway hope the noise is just something new to you.
