Coating or Not

Recently picked up a 19 reg ex dem. I noticed after the first rain that every part of the car including windows was beading like it had just been waxed. Dealer is adamant that no specialist treatment had been applied and it was not the thing that was done and for this sort of work there would be an internal invoice. The Service Manager had a look and thought the paint might have been coated, if so I've got an expensive freebee. Anyhoo, my question is; firstly how can I tell if it is coated, and secondly if I have a ceramic coat put on will it react. I had a new car one loaner for a day and that was 'flat' in the rain.

I doubt it's been coated, its just been cleaned

I would wash it and clay the car and see how much crud the clay pics up

That was my second option, I have had a too many cars to admit to but this was a first time i have seen it so noticeable. Oh well time for some pre-lockdown exercise. Thank you for your thoughts on this.

It's just the wash and wax they use, it would have been valeted before you picked it up,

Looks like it is wax, but it must be a commercial application, time to spy maybe or I need to do some kung-fu waxon-waxoff thanks for replies.
