IQ3 10th year 100k service Q&A

Hi all,

I have an IQ3 Auto 2010/60 but has only done 22k, it’s used as a 3rd car so does 1-2k per annum if that.
The 10th year is a major service. I haven’t skimped on main agent servicing and done it as per manufacturer intervals - ie minor, major, minor, major etc. I could slump and do a basic £99 oil and filter change but I will mess up the service history - especially because these IQ3 multidrives are becoming rarer and rarer.
The 10th year service Retails for £280 and with the 5 year club I get 20% off.
I believe the 10th year does coolant change etc but what have others done in this forum for a low mileage car when it gets to 10 years for a major service - and bill?  Do you guys skimp and go for the cheapy or do it properly?

On a final note, I asked my dealer how much is a CVT gearbox oil change - I don’t believe the lifetime oil cobblers - it’s 10 years old and although it’s done 22k miles, age is the factor. My main dealer who is a 2 min drive from my house and whom I’ve been using for years doesn’t do it (major surprise!!! - excuse was they don’t have the oil in stock!!!), whilst another dealer 20/30min drive away does the CVT change for £150, claiming the oil alone costs £100 - hmmm, interesting.

Advice needed on what I should do? thanks.
