smart start button

Hi there I have just become an owner of a 2011 iq and I have found my car can be started simply by pressing the start button in gear, out of gear, without depressing either brake pedal or clutch, there does not appear to be an inhibitor of any sort .      does anyone have any idea why this might be?. Thanks Jaay.

I should add this makes obtaining accessories position impossible as the car starts the moment the button is pressed.

Maybe the switch under the clutch pedal is short circuited. Normally the clutch pedal must be fully depressed to start the car.
