car won't start!

Hello,

I am having difficulty starting my UK mk2 Yaris.

At first I thought it was the Battery so I bought a new one, fitted it no issues, but as before when I try and start the car, the starter motor works, the engine turns over but no spark!
No engine warning lights at all, tested the HT leads disconnected from the sparks plugs in the engine individually using new spark plugs plugged just into the leads and no spark is produced...

Also checked for any engine management codes - no errors reported.
HT leads are fine, had heard the crankshaft position sensor could be the issue so replaced it (right hand side of the engine), however no change.

What cause this and can it be fixed?

Make sure there is a good earth from the Battery negative to the engine and the car body. My yaris (2005) had a similar problem after fitting a new Battery. It probably didn`t need a new Battery, just a good earth. I wired a earth wire from the engine, chassis and battery.

Is the fuel pump working?

You should hear it humming gently - I think it is in the fuel tank under the rear seat.

no spark + no fuel pump = immobilizer

Try a spare key

Check the fuses for the ecu
