Hi, I just bought an Aygo Excite 2015 reg and I’m not having any luck at all with the USB.

I have read about the Appincar situation and understand I can’t use apps but I was still under the impression I could play music from my phone using the USB or at least charge my phone but nothing at all happens.

Can anyone shed any light on what features I should expect to have with the USB? The USB option is in the menu but is faded out so am unable to select it.

As it a private sale or dealer sale?

From a small dealer just want to get my facts straight before I decide to go back or not. Have a feeling he could be difficult about it.

Mine is an Excite and I often plug in a USB stick and have no problem playing music stored on it

What about your phone does it plug on and charge?

I haven’t tried a USB stick so I will try that tonight.

depends on the warranty, but a standard 3 month warranty usually only covers the essentials. I had a Yaris off a small dealer, and they wouldn't regas the AC

It was advertised as having USB connection so if it’s not working like it should then it was not sold as described.

Regardless of any warranty, whether it is 3 months or 3 years, if you bought the car from a garage within the last six months, you're covered under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

The 'the first six months' section of https://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/regulation/consumer-rights-act
