Aftermarket radio for 2002 Avensis T22?

Hi,

I'm looking to get an aftermarket radio fitted for my 2002 Avensis. Can someone advise if there are any options for one? It has the same head unit as the one in this video - however I'm not sure if the CD player could be pushed out and swapped with a single DIN radio with USB and aux, for example? Would I need any adapters or extras as well?

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

It is easy and here are some of the options -

Facia/mounting plate - https://connects2.com/Product/ProductItem/CT24TY59
Harness - https://connects2.com/Product/ProductItem/CT10TY01

Autoleads everything you need - https://catalog.autoleads.co.uk/?fc=module&module=aampsearchbyvehicle&controller=results&aamp-sbv-region=2&aamp-sbv-trim=30888&aamp-sbv-make=96&aamp-sbv-model=AVENSIS&aamp-sbv-year=22975

Most of it will be plug and play. You just have to choose the head unit.

Late but thanks so much! I got the wiring harness you linked plus one that I needed for a Pioneer head unit, then used a set of plastic prying tools to remove the centre consle and replace the CD player with that. It was all plug and play with the harnesses.

However I didn't see how the mounting plate fits into the assembly. Does it screw into the centre console after you've mounted the head unit?

I know it's been a long time, were you ever able to finish fitting it? I would like to do the same.

Halfords stores has selection of good single con stereos and all accessories needed to convert wires and to pull out old radio etc.

That's not what I have an issue with. I know which fascia plate (to replace CD player, NOT MFD display) I need :

https://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/ct24ty59-toyota-fj-cruiser-highlander-matrix-mr2-rav4-single-din-car-stereo-fascia-plate.html

and the wires:

The thing I can't seem to understand is how these parts:

fit into the dash above the cd player:
