I am very new to Toyata owner club and just bought my very first Toyota yaris. It s a 2018  68  but i notice the warranty book as had no stamps yet it was first registered 2019 and has only done 1967 miles, i am asuming this is the reason but i was given no information on how this works,

and to be honest i ve never owned a car with under 70000 on the clock and under 10 years old

Any help advice  would be gratefully received

There's a contradiction there... If it is a 2018 with a 68 plate, then it was "first registered" in 2018 and not 2019? What does the V5C say?

If you sign up to "My T" the Toyota app, you will be able to see if it has any network service history. It will be due a service even if it has done low miles

The 68 registration period ran from 1st September 2018 to 28th February 2019. If a 68 reg car was registered in 2019, legally it is a 2019 car.

Toyota service intervals are 1 year or 10,000 miles, whichever occurs first. So your car was due a service when it was 1 year old (ie the first anniversary of first registration).

Should have had a service no later than Oct 2019 and will be due its second next month.

Maybe the owner didn't take the service book with the car for its service.  Easily done as there's no compulsion for it.

Toyota will have recorded the fact irrespective of the paper document.  To be honest, I can't see the point of a service book nowadays.  Last car we had, didn't even have a user handbook as you had to go online to read one as a PDF.

Take a look at Toyota.co.uk and get the My Toyota page up and join with your reg number.  You can view the service history.  Failing that, go to a Toyota dealer and ask them.

Mick.
