Hi a few times over 2 months iv turned the ignition key to position 1 and the rad fan has come on then turn ignition of then back on and doesn't come on again

I have had the same, but never concerned me. It mainly happens with a warm engine, and I don't remember if it happened with a cold engine. Maybe the ECU is remembering the last temperature at or after shutoff? It only happens once in a very long while, though not recently. My car is 1.8 Valvematic and everything is running fine.
