Hi Guys

I have recently had my actuator and clutch changed on my 2010 1.3 vvti yaris. Before the clutch and actuator change it had no issues starting but now after they were changed the cars still in the garage because they cant get it started. When you turn the key in the ignition all you can hear is i think the actuator motor working and clicking. Any ideas what could be wrong. Im so tired i have never had a problem with the car and lives it until now.

Hi catlover

No it was done at an RAC approved car garage by an ex toyota mechanic. Apparently hes **** hot with mmt gearboxes. Like i said the engine had no problems before the clutch and actuator was changed.

It sounds like the gearbox hasn't been calibrated correctly if it thinks its stuck in gear it will not start or if it doesnt turn over it has to be an electrical issue

if he knows what he is doing, he should be able to correct it

Iv said that to him but he keeps replying its the spark plugs or coil packs. Im sure it has something to do with the actuator and clutch
