not a mechanic, noticed that my 2005 Yaris verso 2NZFE having problems with startup. Mostly i see it with warm engine. Cold engine start after 4-5 cranks (already seems a lot) warm sometimes needs 8-10 cranks. Baterry is healthy , turns without problem. Never stalls and revs 1800 rpm cold. What could be the cause? Car has 100k miles and i have no history. Could just spark replacement fix it? Or your experience will tell me more?

Plugs would be a good starting point, oil and filters if it hasn't been done in your ownership

Does the power feel the same or is it sluggish ?

If you have an obd2 reader look at the misfire counters, swap the coils on 1 and 2 with each other if it starts easier the coil is failing when hot

Check resistance on the coils, you should have engine management light on... and probably one of the camshaft or crank case sensors are not working. You should also check the immobiliser sign if is off when you crank...
