Hello there! I bought a 2016 RAV4 hybrid (BE+) last week and there’s a few query’s I’ve not been able to find answers too. My previous car was a 2012 Aygo (Go) which didn’t even have AC and purchased from new, so abit overwhelmed with all the extras in the RAV! Very grateful for any input!

1) I have a clock on the multi information display, is there anyway of viewing the time on the multimedia screen? I’ve been to setup and general but there is not a clock option. It just seems strange to not have a clock viewable to all passengers.

2) Can anyone tell me what can be displayed In between the car alarm system light and the hazard light button. There seems to be dead space? Almost perfect for a clock lol

3) Lastly there is a switch next to the side mirror controls, which has a green light when turned on. I’ve checked the manual and searched the internet but don’t know what it’s for. Can anyone confirm what it’s for please?

thanks!

Answer to question 2: That's exactly where the clock is on mine (2013 RAV 4.4) - it's a small display together with buttons to advance the hours and minutes. There again, there is no clock on the multi-function display (and it's not terrible "multi-function" either!).

1. On earlier pre 2016 facelift Rav4 the clock was up in the panel mentioned in 2 it moved to the Multi-display between speedo and power meter, it doesn't display anywhere else

2. On earlier pre 2016 facelift Rav4 the panel shown contained in addition to the clock a small display for parking sensors ( where fitted ) this also moved into the Speedo MFD on post facelift models.

3. Not sure, it isn't a genuine Toyota accessory

Thanks Philip!

Devon interesting you say that, the car for a while was a showroom car, which had added extras to try and get people to upgrade certain features. I thought it could be one of these optional extras. It’s only been owned by one older gentleman for three years before being returned to to a Toyota dealer. I’ll have to give them a ring to see if they can tell me what it’s for. Thanks for the info about the facelift!
