Hi all

Gonna do the clutch on dads 04 d4d. It's the floating flywheel type. Should I resort back to the solid flywheel or keep it as it is. I'll  have to replace all regardless but part store said you get replacement solid flywheel.

I notice on these engines theres nowhere to attach crane hooks to. Anyone any thoughts on how to support engine and do I need to drop front sub frame.

Guessing you mean it has the Dual Mass Flywheel?

Many people who drive Audi's and other German cars reverted back to the solid flywheel, and a lot of them regret it. It doesn't drive the same after it. So I'd advise against going back to a solid flywheel set up and keep the DMF.

Leave it as is.

Not a nice drive when converted.
