Does the Corolla give you a mileage/days remaining countdown on the infotainment screen or drivers display for an upcoming service like VAG Group cars?

No it doesn't, servicing is due every 10,000 miles or 12 months whichever is soonest.

Pretty sure mine shows miles to service. There is a spanner symbol with a mileage next to it which shows up briefly when you first turn it on. This then goes off and is replaced by the normal odometer

I seem to recall there's something in the My T app but I don't think it says anything actually in the car.

Guessing you have a 1.2T, as they did have a service reminder

Correct. 1st service due on Monday and only just hit 2000 miles thanks to Covid
