Electric steering rarely has issues. Check if it is just inner tie rods which is much cheaper than rack. Get a good european brands like SKF, F A G, Aisin, Timken.

Just do the links as these are most common and sometimes difficult to find out if they are bad, try them wiggle with wheels on the ground and if they move easily just change them because it sounds to me like bad stabiliser links , don’t change anything else for now. If unsure don’t put top mounts shocks and steering rack yet, and try to find another garage not Toyota. If you change parts without needing change it’s waste of time and money, I rather drive like that or sell the car.

Done them last year in September/ October as they were worn down. Not helped with the main issue though.

Thanks. I will try inner tie rods next as my MOT guy mechanic mentioned them last time I showed up for a test.

I will research those brands. Fingers crossed. Last time I checked online, it was only a few sellers on eBay that had some Chinese inners.

Toyota does not offer inner tie rods on most of their cars and those only comes with the whole steering rack, an expensive and unnecessary repair.
There are aftermarket available, but difficult to find as there are no oem numbers to compare. More you are looking to change or improve anything that it is not broken more problems you will put yourself.
Just ignore anything that is not too annoying and too apparent and not a safety issue, save yourself money and more problems that are almost guaranteed after someone has worked on your cars.
Keep it stock , keep it simple. Change parts only if obvious and necessary.

£35 on eBay.  I'm not recommending that brand or seller, that's was just a quick google as a guide.

I used inner tie rods from Moog, TRW, SKF and they work perfectly fine 5 years later until I sold my cars. It was for Nissan Altima 02.

These unbranded parts are even dangerous.
You can take your one off the rack and go to a local parts shop and they can measure and search in their catalog for something of a better quality.
Blueprint , Febi, First line, Moog, TRW, Swag.
Avoid Chinese copies of a Japanese parts like Ashika, Febest, Optimal

Febest metal parts are junk.  their rubber parts for rear stabilizer link in Auris 2 is ok.

Found TRW and Moog:

But I never trusted this shop. Will research some more.

Are the inner tie rods the same for the left and right sides? Also, are they different for UK (right-hand drive vehicles) and EU (left-hand drive vehicles)?

They are not sided, it tells you that in your own link.
