Another Aygo leak

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

Its been heavy rains all weekend, noticed a small puddle under my drivers mat for awhile now, doesnt really bother me because its a small amount, just wondering whether anybody knows where it may be coming from? Pics attached!

Also noticed the drivers door dripping a pool a few moments ago, haven't noticed that before !

Its sad that these Aygos weren't made water tight, cost saving obviously! I'm glad that I resolved my previous boot leak solved by replacing the high level brake light with a new one.

yeah is a bad point on the design , in most areas another 2mm on the rubbers would have fixed it all

id suggest you pop the door panel off and run a hose over it , can leak through the plastic sheet and the speaker area if its had Speakers added ...if not that then a door seal maybe req

Second that, I had a leak on both front doors on my 2008 model, turned out to be coming through the plastic sheet behind the door Speakers. Fixed it by replacing both plastic sheets.

Or pour water onto the windscreen,  it should drain behind the front wheel arches. If not it's blocked on the scuttle.

Ours leaked so bad on the passenger door, 1"+ water in the footwell. New door rubbers failed to fix it, so I removed the door card & found that at the bottom of the the front window carrier slide, there was a cable clip. It should have allowed rain water to travel to the bottom of the inside of the door & out to the exterior, however it was hitting the clip & getting diverted into the car.
