Guys,

Does anyone know which headlamp bulb on the market are the brightest available for the 1st gen Aygos? Twin pack would be ideal. My current bulbs have dimmed so much i can hardly see with them. Cant recall what I put in now.

Cheers guys

nightbreakers seem to be pretty good output , but when ive ran them they fail fairly often so put off paying out for more and more all the time

Bear in mind that the brighter the upgrade bulb, the shorter the life. Currently Philips have their RacingVision +150% in H4 fitting - but life is only 200 hours.

That's kind of a contradiction - brighter = hotter = shorter life for any halogen bulb.

Never had an issue with the standard Toyota fitted bulb going dim over time. They just blow when time's up. As gampla suggested, yer headlight casing might have become cloudy with age and require a clean-up.

FYI, I get my bulbs fitted at the Toyota dealer, coz they're a pain to fit for my sausage fingers. Cost £6, with free fitting, when I last had done.

The best H4 bulb in performance vs price vs lifetime category has to be Philips ecovision H4. It is bright and lasts for ages. It is a pain to change the bulb in older aygo. We are very happy with it.

Check you haven't accidentally switched the light level adjuster to a position other than zero.

had my mot today and asked about the level , they were fine to pass the mot but he set them to high as possible and it was at least one turn the adjuster

got some nightbreakers in it now , theyre alright a bit better than the old bulbs but not as good as i had hoped
