Help needed. Have your headlights malfunctioned. “Incorrect beam”

Hi all,

Hoping you guys will be able to help.

I have an Auris hybrid 2013 (new shape at the time). Just had a full service from Toyota.

They have found the “headlight beam incorrect requires new units”.

I haven’t had any physical damage to the car. The Toyota ppl explained “quite common in these aurises. Some foil within the headlights gets damaged over time”.

My car is not under warranty now. They are refusing to deal with it.

Has anyone else encountered similar issue?

thanks!

See previous topic:

If your car has a full Toyota service history, Toyota may be willing to offer a goodwill contribution - not necessarily the full cost. If it hasn't got a full Toyota service history, it is doubtful goodwill will be offered. Goodwill works both ways - the manufacturer may offer help with out of warranty repairs under goodwill, if you have shown goodwill by having your car serviced by the Toyota dealer network. Contact Toyota Customer Services.
