Hybrid servicing Ayrshire/Central Belt

Hi, any reccomendations for a reliable mechanic/garage to service a 65 plate Auris Hybrid?  Ayrshire preferred but Central Belt doable.  Thanks, Ken

The thing to consider with a Toyota hybrid which is outside the new car warranty (which a 65 reg Auris is or shortly will be) is that a Toyota Hybrid Electric Service (which is now the name for a hybrid service) also extends the hybrid Battery warranty by one year or 10,000 miles. This can extend the hybrid Battery warranty up to the car's 15th birthday - so provides up to 15 years of cover from when the vehicle was new.

The hybrid health check that was previously available is now included within the Hybrid Electric Service, and is now longer available separately.

Having the car serviced outside the Toyota dealer network, excludes having this cover, and also may affect possible goodwill from Toyota.

"On top of the generous 5 year or 100,000 mile Hybrid Battery Warranty, customers can benefit from our Hybrid Battery Extended Cover which ensures an additional year or 10,000 miles (whichever comes sooner) of cover.
This can be renewed up to the 15th anniversary of the car's registration, with no limit on total mileage.
Hybrid Battery Extended Cover is included when you have a Hybrid Electric Service carried out on your vehicle by a Toyota Hybrid Electric Specialist."
