Locking the car while boot is closing - Rav4 Mk4 Hybrid

I have a 2017 MK4 Rav4 Hybrid and there is one thing that absolutely drives me mad.

 

There may be a way of doing something about it, hopefully someone on the forum can help.

 

I have an electric boot and no alarm.

 

Here is the problem,

If I try to lock the car (remote button or keyless touch) while the boot is still closing I just get a long beep and the car doesn't lock. I need to wait until the boot closes before I can lock the car.

 

Is there any setting that can be changed (Techstream?) or a module to be installed to allow to lock the car/doors while the boot is closing? I'm assuming that the doors would lock first and the boot would lock when it closes.
