Hello! New Toyota owner switching from VW/Audi

Hello everybody!

I have only experienced and worked on german cars (VW and Audi) and decided to jump over on the Japanese car band wagon to see for myself if it truly is nirvana or not! I did that by recently purchasing myself a 2008 Toyota Auris 1.6 Dual VVT-i with just shy of 120 000 kms on the clock! My hopes are to experience the car more on the road than I did with my Audi in the garage...

I'm located in the dark north of Sweden with pesky salted roads during the winter time, so I can tell you that it wasn't easy to find a relatively rust-free Toyota from 2008 up here. The previous owner had the car regularly rust protected though, a tradition which I'm going to continue! Since I don't drive that far each year the goal is for the car to run until petrol is either too expensive or outright banned in Sweden 😉
