Bike towbar for Aygo

Hi guys,

In need of a 'wheel on' bike carrier for a couple of Pashley bikes (walk through frames so normal bike carriers not viable, plus 47kg of weight). Thinking a towbar type is the way to go. Has anyone dared to fit such a thing to their aygo? If so, have you got details of make, model & where to obtain? Any help much appreciated. Many thanks in advance, Becky.

The Aygo isn't rated for towing, so towbars aren't available. Westfalia did produce a rear mounted bike carrier for the first generation Aygo (2006-2014), but not sure whether it is compatible with the second generation Aygo (2014 onwards). You could contact Westfalia to ask whether it is compatible, or one of their UK suppliers (eg. PF Jones).

Also Toyota do not recommend using a Roof Rack or bars for the second generation Aygo, and don't provide a weight limit for using one.

Can I point you at this thread.? There's a link in there for an Aygo "towbar" offered on Amazon, intended to mount a bike carrier on.

The towbar is for the first generation Aygo, and may not fit the second generation.
