p1693 ocv filter keeps on getting dirty

Hello! i have been having some issues with my corolla ts (2zzge) and with its filt.

The lift didnt work and gave the usual p1693 fault code.

So i opened the lift thing and properly cleaned the ocv filter.

After that, the lift worked for about 5-10 lifts, then started to not work, and finally after about 15 times going to the lift, the engine and other warning lights came on again.

The filter has a lot of debree and gunk even though i just cleaned it.

Any idea how to fix this or where all the gunk is coming from ?

It shows that it hasn't had regular oil changes, do a flush and oil/filter change, once these solenoids get clogged it starts to burn it out

The lift bolts can also cause issues unless the modified ones are used on some engines

Hello again, its been a while. i changed the oil and filter on my tsport and also changed the lifts bolts which were in fine condition. I also cleaned the ocv filter again. Lift worked once and again shows the same code and doesnt apply lift. What could i do at this point, havent looked it to the ocv filter yet but i bet its cloggged up like all the other times 😞

The solenoid is starting to die or the gear is worn

when you did the lift bolts was the head gunged up or was it clean (around the valve gear and cams)

I actually didnt change the lift bolts my self so i dont know, maybe i should check if the head is dirty, or what do you recommend doing at this point?

Put a new solenoid on it ??
