AC Clutch Pulley

Hi friends,

I started to hear a sound in my engine bay, when Idling , after some digging around, I found the issue, that was clutch Aircon pulley. So seems there is gap between the dust cover and the wheel that is allowing it to shake thus the noise.

My question is, does anyone tried to replace only the pulley? Do you know any vendor that sells this pulley? I found one on eBay buy the pulley is made of plastic. Replacing the entire compressor at the dealer they quoted £ 816 only for the compressor, Halfords do the work for £900 . So If someone could pass me some info, would be great and appreciated.

My car is a Avensis T27 estate 2012

Thank You

There is a way how to repair the pulley cap. I have successfully done it.

Please check out the following (the repairing method has been advised almost at the end of the topic):

Depending on what compressor it is you may be able to swap the clutch

It's possibly 1 of 3 compressors, all Denso - a recon compressor is under £300

A New Denso compressor is around £530
