Not sure about the Tacoma specifically but on many cars there is a release pin on the end of the lock barrel. You usually put the key in and turn it to the ACC position, then look around the casting for a small hole (about 3mm diameter), push the back of a small drill bit into the hole and pull the lock out using the key
