Engine number on block 1991 Toyota Hiace

Hello, 

I'm trying to export the above car from the UK to the US and am unable to locate the engine number on the block. I need this in order to submit the authorization paperwork. 

I have searched high and low, only finding a 7-digit number which matches neither the VIN not the engine. I have watched videos of similar models showing the engine number on the block in plain view, I have searched the owners manual. All with no luck. 

Is anyone out there able to advise where I would find this? Thanks in advance.

On Fixya an answer is "Below the intake manifold on the engine block. You will need to move things like hoses and air intake to gain access in most cases."

What engine does it have ? It may have had the engine replaced in some point in its life
