EPB fault light

Hi everyone I have been having trouble with my Toyota avensis estate ever since it was put in for its last service I went to a different garage this time and they said I needed new pads and disks on the rear wheels. A few days after work was carried out warning lights and check parking brake system came up in dash took it to two different garages both done diagnostic checks and removed faults. On both occasions got a day out the car and next day warnings came back on a have been looking online and at different videos and everything seems to be pointing to either not recalibrated sensors on back wheels or the parking brake was left on while pads and disks where changed which causes piston to pop out and if not put back in properly flags this fault up. The car is still under warranty and I have it booked into Toyota garage to try and resolve this issue I was just looking to see if anyone had any other info on what could be causing this apart from sloppy workmanship thanks

Did the garage you took it to use genuine parts I can’t imagine that this would cause the warnings to come on though, but if they didn’t this will void any remaining warranty you have I am of the opinion that if the vehicle is still under warranty always have it serviced by the main dealers.

The question I would ask is, 'was the pistons would back properly, so the cut outs are horizontal so the nipples on the back of the inner brake pads are in those cut outs?'. Bad installation will cause this. No calibration is really necessary, plus the wrong diagnostic device will not calibrate the EPB, but cause the warnings and stop the EPB from working automatically!

There are case of some garages not understanding how Toyota Avensis works compared to other brands, and make errors or use the wrong tools!
