Hey Guys!

Ive searched the site briefely and cant find much on this subject. Was just wondering, Im changing my standard 14" alloys for a set of 17"s. Wot offset and PCD am I looking for for a 98 Rolla Hatch? Will be lowered soon also if that makes a diff?

I had problems getting 16's to fit on mine. My Corolla SR had alloys on it originally from the factory in Japan. These were 100 PCD and 42 offset (that's with drum brakes). With the car lowered on Eibach -20mm springs a 16 inch 38 offset scrubbed so badly that it would have shredded the tyre. Eventually got 40 offset and 195x45x16 tryes to fit AFTER modifying the arches. But that was my car = yours may be different.

Im stuck on this too. Ive got a 2000 (facelift) Corolla SR. Has discs on the back. Ive got a set of 35 mm lowering springs to go on too. Not sure what to go for offset wise, I know it is 4 x 100 PCD though. Heard that 35 will not be enough. 40 ok??

Cheers

Before getting my current wheels I had a set of 16 inch OZ Vivace - 38 offset - with 205 tyres and even with the standard springs it scrubbed with more than two people in it. The best thing to do is to use a dealer who will try the wheel tyre combination on the car for you BEFORE you hand over the cash.

Yeah its just a problem trying to find those sort of dealers around here!! Plus, ive not got the springs on yet. I might just go with some 15"s and get adjustables instead. <_<

Best sollution if you want 17's

205/40/ profile tyres

40mm offset

6.5" wide wheel no more then 7"

30mm drop springs and I'm getting koni adjustables (shocks not fitted yet)

Roll the arches for good measure and you 'should' be ok, but all cars are different, if you see my car at JAE have a look at where the alloys sit
