Starter Motor - Faulty?

Hi All

Yesterday after eating some chips I got into my Yaris and turned the key but nothing happened. So I re-turned the key and it worked fine. I just thought that my greasy chip fingers slipped or something. Anyway later that evening, I jump into the car, go to start it and again nothing happened. So I guessed the starter motor was sticking, rolled the car back in gear, stopped then tried again and it worked fine.

This morning it was just the same, so I am guessing that either there is a loose connection somewhere to my starter motor, or its just faulty. :censor:

My questions are:

Has anyone else had this problem on their Yaris (T-sport)?

Is this covered under warranty?

Thanks in advance

Lozza

Hiya there,

just wanted to remind you that you shud step on the left hand side pedal (Right Hand drive vehicle) when starting up. At times friends who drive my car have difficulty in starting up coz of this 'security lock' ;) . Maybe you shud pay attention to that detail.

Take care and best of luck
