Clingfilm Yes Or No

Is it a good idea to put clingfilm on the bonnet for the ride down to JAE, does it work or will it melt and stick.

I was seriously thinking of getting a car bar or failing that using one of my own  but it is a bit to late for all that.

comments much appreciated.

I'll be wacking the wax on a leaving it .. and clingfilming the front ..

But then I don't have an engine in the wrong end to cook the clingfilm ..

would clingfilm seriously stop stone chips on me bumper??

Nope .. but the bugs don't stick ..

I's suggest 60mph on the inside lane of the M'way ..

Then everyone looks at you too ..

I would go with card board or bubble wrap for ultimate protection.

When a car is delivered it has plastic film on the panels while on the transporters, bonnet included, I think cling film would be too thin to be any good.

There must be some sort of plastic film with a slight adhesive quality on one side to apply to bonnets etc, a bit like some kinds of window stickers you can get that don’t leave any residue behind when removed.

Something like this but bigger to put on your bonnet Click Here...

what type of tape ??

Masking tape ?? then what if it rains or I drive really fast ? Don't want it flying off anf blinding the poor driver behind me.
