Will my Toyota Yaris t3 2006 risk potential damage if I leave it garaged with no battery for a long period of time.

I have recently purchased a Toyota Yaris t3 2006, it is in great condition and has no visible faults. I however do not have my licensed yet and therefore will have to leave it in my garage. It's been garaged for around three months now and I was wondering if in the event the Battery dies, will the car sustain any damage to its electrical systems? Is there anything I should be weary of since it is likely to be left in the garage for half the year? All advice is appreciated.

Hi, potential damage from rodents should be your main concern. Usually they attack cars that been left unused for long periods of time. Best to rodent proof your garage before leave it there. In general there should be no issues with the car and once it’s have new Battery in and all fluids and oil checked can be started and see how it’s running. Best is to have someone who can start the car for an hour run at least once every two months but if you don’t have any it’s not a problem. In general there is slight risk of oil seals drying and eventually an oil leaks but that unpredictable. Many people leave holiday cars and similar for long periods. 👍
