That's an unexpected answer from the Toyota Workshop Controller, but interesting.

I have spent a couple of minutes checking part numbers from eBay EGR coolers for sale.  The part numbers etched on the side of the coolers match Toyota's, basically.  But they are not really what I was expecting...

This one is from a 2009 Prius, and the 'lot no.' has a '9' in it at the fourth digit, so perhaps a 2009 production.

This next one is a CT200h from 2012.  Perhaps made in 2011 from the lot no?

This one is from a 2018 Auris, perhaps made in 2017?

Its 'Client part number' is the same as the others above, except for the inclusion of a 'B'.

I was expecting a change in part number beyond the addition of a suffix of 'B' on the newest one, indicating a significant change?

actually I just made a photo clearer and bad news, there is no difference at all of what I can see, it’s just picture from the other side of the cooler and inside has same pattern of the cooling element, so pretty much insignificant change not major., hm I was hoping for very different design however it seems I was wrong in my previously posts. I will need two parts in front of me to examine and can tell for sure. For now only the numbers are different and the problem with blocked egr will remain.
