Icon Tech steering wheel

Yesterday we were given a 21 reg Corolla Icon Tech courtesy car whilst my Design model was being serviced. The steering wheel texture felt a bit strange and not sure if it was due to it being new, but did not like it ? I wonder if is due to the fact it was a different spec to mine but put me off car straight away

Low grade leather or just because it’s new most likely, since new cars the leather is kind without any gloss to it and feels a bit rough. I like the GR steering wheel the most of all trims, perhaps the whole interior maybe, but the new 2021 design also has nicer seats in half leather trim.

Half leather-ett trim! Not quite the real stuff. 
 

My TS design model has a lovely steering wheel - feels like nappa leather.
