Does my 2009 Yaris 1.0 TR need a Radio Code

Hi, I've recently bought a 2009 Yaris 1.0 TR and joined this forum at the same time for help and advice.

Will my car require a radio code if the Battery is disconnected?

I've searched the internet and there is conflicting info out there  whereby some say no code is needed , alternatively, there are You tube shows videos of people inputting a code into the identical factory radio that I have and some say that the code is the last 3 digits of the Vin number.

I realise that I could keep a separate 12v source connected if I needed to change the Battery and thus avoid a code but I would like to know for certain whether one is required. I can find no code in the owners manual or other booklets that came with the car.

Many thanks regards Darryl
