Hi just got myself the exact same car in red good aint they?

Mine has already got a set of OZ alloys on purchased by previous owner and T sport head light covers and I am quite happy to leave body work standard but if you wont more velside and TRD do some nice kits!

As for performance how bigs your budget the skys the limit almost what with super chargers and turbo conversions avaliable. If like me you aint loaded I would put a good set of lowering springs on tte or simlar are good I think then a good quality exhaust and induction kit from one of the big jap tuning companies like Blizt or HKS. Try any of the companies at the top of this site for suppliers.

Having not done much myself some one else might come along and know more though!

Hope this has helped let us know how you get on

hi mate. Best place to start is by sticking a set of Toyota Team Europe (TTE) lowering springs on her. It'll drop by 30mm and make the celi sooooo much nicer to look at (gets rid of that SUV ride height) and it'll also make her a 'B' road monster. Expect to pay circa £250 including 4 wheel alignment at your local Mr T. This also has 3 year Toyota warranty.

Aftermarket exhausts are also good for looks and gains as the standard 190 exhaust looks laim. I went for the Toyota Racing Development (TRD) exhaust for the 190 model. They are pricey but fit, finish, looks and gains are second to NONE!!! 10 minutes and the puppy is on. Pricewise for this varies massively. Expect anywhere from a smidge over £500 (imported) to over £700 (UK supplier):eek:

In the looks department where do you start? After market rear spoilers: TTE, TRD  , Wings West, etc, etc.; body kits: TRD  Veilside  , Wings West, Trial, etc, etc. Prices from £100's to £1000's. Not wanting to take anything away from this excellent TOC site but also check out celica-club.co.uk especially in the Modifications page as there are hundreds of modded celis. They also have numerous group buys (under Group Buys  ) for all celi kit at great deals.

In the meantime keep posting, keep asking questions and see ya soon.

Habu

Hi

i agree with the above i dropped mine 30 mm and it looks so much better' im in the middle now of ordering a vielside bodykit from group buy as mentioned above (MrCelica) i was quoted £1700 for the kit from a uk supplier direct from hk its around £700 to your door. and if you can afford it a nice set of 18" i stuck with 17" as im a tight welshman.

yeah, double post. Muppet!

Going back to exhaust systems Gotang I went for the TRD as the torque and hp are the most with this system plus you get the kudos of having TRD written on it. Materialistic, me, never! I also like the fact that the TRD system doesn't have any silencer near the tip, it's just a long, uninterrupted pipe.

Habu :)

TTE springs should be your 1st mod. Otherwise the car just looks "jacked up"

From there it's totally down to you. Modding is all down to personal taste. If you like the look of something then do it! Just make sure it's not a Nova boy thing though :P

The TRD exhaust is a good bet (as mentioned), although the Blitz nur spec is a nice zorst too.

Might I add a blatant plug for http://www.celica-club.co.uk ? ;)

no probs matey, ask away. Yes, the ride is harsh but well worth it when you are leaving ya mates behind. The TTE lowering kit, as I posted towards the top of this page, is best for giving the celi the stance it should have left the factory in. 30mm don't sound like much but it's very noticable.

PM me if you'd like before and after installation pics.
