Rev3+ Spoiler To A Rev2

If i was to want a rev 3 or 5 spoiler fitting to my car, could i just buy one and remove the old one and bolt the new one in place (filling the old holes?) OR do i need a new boot lid too???

Anyone done this at all???

I think Jimlad had a rev 5 spoiler fitted.

Would have thought the fittings were the same, but not sure about the side bits of the spoiler that come off
