Hard gear engagement.

My clutch pedal is not flat but was earlier hard but came back to normal. After about  5 minutes drive again the gear became had to engage except when the engine is off. Pls what could be the problem?

This sounds like either the master cylinder, slave cylinder or pipe are leaking. The other issue could be old contaminated hydraulic fluid or a collapsed rubber hose. If you pump the clutch pedal, does the clutch start to work, so you can get gears with the engine running?
