Where's my car?

MyToyota App has been pretty good with only the occasional hiccup.  This week it has missed a trip in town and the journey home, the next day it missed three journeys but eventually recorded a third back home.  Yesterday it recorded a journey in town but not the journey to or from the town.  Back home it showed the car was still in town.

This morning it now shows the journey to town and now shows the car in transit.

The obvious answer for the last journey and the car location is the lack on mobile connectivity, but what is the reason for the earlier journeys being not being reported?

New Mod edit on Mytoyota app.  It thinks my car is at home when it is 200 miles away. 

Any ideas how to fix it edit

The car uses an inbuilt Simcard to talk to the Toyota server. If the car is somewhere with no mobile signal it will not be able to report it's new location.

I have been back from holiday for 3 days but the app still thinks my car is in Swansea.

Its usually pretty reliable but not the last few days.

Rab, Red confirms my report.  Remember it records my journeys door to door.

Just checked and it is now near enough correct though the actual direction from where I am sitting is over the garden wall, down the road for 100 yards, right into the next road, right after 50 yards, then 75 yards, right again or I could go through the family room, down the hall and out the front door 😊

Agreed. When my car is parked at home in the garage, MyT sends me out the front door, 100yds along the path, right, right and right again for a five minute walk, rather than out the back door to the garage. Don't you just love algorithms!
