If I leave the heated seats permanently on low in the winter is there a constant drain on the Battery (12v or traction?) or do they cut out when the seat is up to temperature?  I was wondering if there would be a continuous impact on MPG by leaving them on all the time.

If anything like my Prius, even on low it would get to warm IMO. Mine are not on a timer.  Does the Corolla have heated steering wheel.

No heated steering wheel available on UK spec Corolla - it is fitted / available on certain European spec Corolla

As for heated seats, there is normally a thermal cut out built in to the heater pad to stop it from burning out the element.

I've fixed / modified factory fitted seat heaters & retrofitted a few heated seat kits on various vehicles over the years - never on a Toyota ( yet )
