Hi guys newbie here with a growing family im thinking of buying a Toyota estima 2.4 non hybrid around 2012 to 2014.

I was wondering what should i look for when buying budget is around 10k to 12k. Any common thing i should look for and generally  anything that could help me.

Good choice., luxurious and reliable...but then I'm a fan anyway, having had my V6 Estima for 5 years now.

Just judge/examine any potential purchases as you would any other vehicle.....and if it's already registered in the UK then do the online MOT check..though it's highly likely to be fine.

Generally you have no worries about parts etc..the Estima is really quite well catered for in the UK.

No i have not yet just doing some research before i go and start looking for one.

what do you guys think about the cvt box in these Estima how reliable is it?

is it the k112 box ?

I have no experience of CVT boxes...but AFAIK Toyota's CVT has a good rep generally..and it's used in many models

As Neil stated, Estimas are super vehicles though be mindful of the CVT gearbox on the 2.4s - they are good for about 100k. After this you may have costly repairs.

I believe the 3 or 3.5 have a different gearbox.
