I had an IQ from 2011-2015, and loved it. My daughter is 18 and would like one. Im looking in the region of £2-2.5K and all Im finding are huge milage 100K + Does this engine cope well with this milage, or should I say clear?

Thanks

Mart

In the UK the IQ was available with two petrol engines - 1.0 and 1.33.

Base model Aygo's for that sort of budget on an 07/08, thanks to the Wu flu small car prices are through the roof,

09/10 model IQ's are £2.5-3.5K, 2011-12 automatics can go for up to £5k with less than 50K on the clock

Has your daughter got her licence yet as i know test centre are booking for 2022, most driving instructors are booked up to the end of September not sure if its the same in Wales

Auto or Manual ? 1.0 or 1.3 ?

I would not worry about engine to be honest. It shares the engine with a Toyota Aygo, Citreon C1 and Peugeot 107, and so there is wide-ranging proof of the engine's durability. Over 100,000 miles, I would be more worried about the clutch. Whenever that goes, expect to pay a higher price to fix than in an Aygo as it is a lengthier job in the IQ so higher labour costs. Still though, I don't think you can go too wrong
