Just looking for a bit of information before I go for my Corolla test drive if you can help please?

The Corolla seems to have  lots of items that would be classed as "extras" in other makes, can I ask if there are carpets or mats in the car at all? All my recent cars have been Astra Sports Tourers and I've always needed to buy a set of four carpets to keep the interior looking decent.

Any help or advice would be most appreciated.

I cant answer your query, BUT if they not standard, talk the salesman to include them. 👍
Actually I don’t like carpets, I prefer the rubber ones, one of the first things I did when I got the Prius was buy a set rubber ones off eBay. The Prius has a pretty flat floor in the rear, so the rear rubber carpet is one piece. Easier to clean then proper carpet, but I can see why people prefer the carpet, just not me.

Thanks for the help Joe, really appreciated.

I opted for the 'protection plus' extra which included the boot liner and rubber mats all around.  The carpet type mats were fitted as standard and I swapped them out for the rubber one when I collected the car.  Much easier to clean and I've also stopped shouting at people with muddy shoes who insist on dragging it into the car😉

Thanks Les, I'll ask about 'Protection Plus' when I go for my test drive.

All new Toyota passenger cars in the UK come with carpet mats as standard, rubber mats can be optioned.

Commercial vehicles carpet or rubber mats are options.

Used cars would depend on the dealer, at mine they are left in if presentable otherwise they are disposed of.
