Multimedia update

I have received a email regarding my multimedia upgrade to my 2019 corolla at a cost of £50 at the time of service. At the time of  looking to purchase or corolla we visited 4 dealerships and all the sales staff told us that any software to the multimedia system will be free of charge for the first 3 years as toyota are going to update the multimedia system at a later date. Was any other owners told this at the time of purchase.

Sounds like this is the upgrade that installs Apple Carplay and Android Auto - which is different to the usual multimedia updates and is £50 with a service.

Yes it's a upgrade but we was told. Apple play etc was not available at the moment as the model is new but it would be added at a later date free of charge. This is was told by 4 different dealerships

Sadly you were mis-informed. It's cheaper to have it done as part of a service but there is no zero-cost option.
