Hi guys, the emergency light on the 2003 Aygo is not working. I have changed the 10amp fuse in the box. I need to put my finger on the button constantly then it works. If I just push it in, nothing works.

Any one got any tips to solve this please?

Sounds like it's a switch, so IMHO OP means the hazard light switch.

The hazard switch (and the aircon switch) tend to fail as OP describes where they don't latch properly - I had to replace both on my 2008 C1 because of this problem. Replaced both with switches from my (then) local car breaker SIlverlake https://www.silverlake.co.uk/breakers/

It sounds as if the switch is kaput.

The switch is a PSA product, 😉 ultra common issue on anything French (Paxo, Clio, AX, C1, 2, 3 and 4)

1 screw behind the heater knob and the rest is clips

Thanks everyone for your help. I go on eBay to buy a switch now.
